Today as I sit working in my office, I am reminded of the little things I hold gratitude for in my heart. My kitties surround my office with quiet contentment. One lies nestled, as always, under my desk lamp enjoying the warmth. He is grateful we rescued him from a cold, wintry, snowy Christmas eve. He shows his gratitude by always finding the warmest spots in the house.
My other kitty is sleeping on the sunny windowsill of my office on a soft piece of fleece. He loves the softness and being close to me. Whenever I am sitting on the couch, he waits to curl up in my lap covered by a fleece blanket. We rescued him from the cold a few years ago in December. He would sneak in the house while I was working whenever the back door was left open for our old cat who is no longer with us. He wanted to find a warm place to be.
