Thoughts Create Reality

Focusing on your thinking processes is an important area for transforming your soul. Many messages you received growing up continue to run your life at a subconscious level. You may find yourself on automatic pilot more than you can imagine. Your reactions to situations may seem to come out of nowhere. Actually, they are coming from messages received as a child.

These messages affect your emotional and physical limits. Your personal values, standards, and beliefs are affected. They affect your Teeter-Totter Thinking. Explore these areas and identify what thinking patterns are keeping you from transforming your soul.

Set Healthy Limits

Establishing Healthy Emotional and Physical Limits is an important area for transforming your life. Because souls in transformation often experience boundary violations from abuse, neglect, or being burdened with carried feelings, they have difficulty setting and maintaining healthy limits.
Limits

• Define personal limits and the differences between healthy, damaged, non-existent limits and walls.
• Provides a framework to determine what your limits are and how you want to make them more functional.
• Learn to establish healthy limits, you learn to take charge of your own identity and develop differentiation from the family you grew up in.

Teeter-Totter Thoughts

Another area where limit violations occur is in our thinking patterns. People entering soul transformation often find they have rigid thinking patterns. They tend to be black and white, or either or thinking patterns. I like to think of them as opposite ends of a teeter-totter. When you choose your response from one end or the other, you are out-of-harmony.

• Understand Teeter-Totter thinking commonly referred to as black and white or absolute thinking.
• You are presented with a means to make changes in your thinking and the techniques needed to make these changes.

Teeter-totter Thinking journaling is a vital area to address in soul transformation. You may react to messages and communication without considering what thought patterns are behind your reactions. Then, as you consider the situation at a later time, you may find yourself wishing you said something differently or reacted in a different way.

Being aware of your personal limits, helps you adjust your reaction to respond based on choice. Awareness of your teeter-totter thoughts allows you the opportunity to choose your verbal response instead of automatically reacting with the thinking patterns you learned in childhood.
