Hello Life Transformers,
Over this past week, I learned just how much
time it can take to heal.
Before we get to my lesson,
here's what is happening.
My husband awoke about 7 weeks ago with
terrible pain in his knee.
He knew there was a problem because
his doctor treated his painful knee over the past two years.
But..this time it was different.
He went to the doctor that day.
X-rays showed lots of arthritis and
he was referred to a specialist.
The specialist took his own x-rays and told us
he must get in right away for knee replacement surgery.
Last Monday, June 16, we arrived at the hospital
expecting a 3-5 day stay.
Little did we know how slowly his healing would progress.
Watching Chuck learn to walk again pointed out to me,
we can only heal as fast as our body is ready.
So, here is what I learned...
whether we're healing our body, mind, or spirit,
we go at the pace we are ready to go.
Hurrying through the healing work sets us back,
just like Chuck pushed too hard yesterday.
Today, he must slow down.
Push yourself to your limits,
just don't go overboard.
Everyone has their own timetable for healing.
Find your own pace. Each of us is different.

Now is your Chance for...
Now is your chance for a sneak peek at my upcoming book.
I'm bursting with news, just like my garden is bursting out all over.
When I first planted my garden, there were only 3 small plants, and now they are going way outside their boundaries.
When we heal from childhood trauma and dysfunctional families, we feel like we want to burst outside our boundaries. Transformational Journaling is a special tool you use to move your healing forward to be all you can be.
This week I was talking with someone who is using the Transformational
Journaling techniques to move his healing forward. He struggles with an
issue many trauma survivors face on our healing journey--feeling good
about ourselves. I suggested he write out all his accomplishments in his life.
He was surprised because he was looking at his life from what he still wants to do.
Keeping a balanced view of your life is important to your healing.
Your Transformational Journaling Tip this week:
Write a list of all your accomplishments in your life up to today.
About that gift coming to you in my book...you can learn more when
my book is released just in time for Summer Solstice.
Have a beautiful, sunny week.
Peace and joy,
Doc Deb
